eHorizon integrates topographical and digital map data with sensor data for predictive control of vehicle systems. Anticipated events, such as the uphill incline after the next corner, and in the future even dynamic events, such as accidents or traffic jams, are exploited at an early stage in order to optimize the vehicle’s response. With our Dynamic eHorizon vehicles become moving sensors. These sensors collect data and send it to create a highly precise up-to-date map. Cloud traffic services enhance this map. This technology is therefore the backbone for automated driving.
